Supposed to be one of the most extreme films ever made. Just wondering if that was true.

There is a UK DVD complete with the directors commentary but it has never been submitted to the BBFC, from what I have heard the director doesn't want the film to be cut and cuts to this film would have to be quite extensive.

Sounds like he has taken the unrated option
It's available here.

My curiousity was piqued, and for the sake of £6 inc. postage - I bought it.

I'll let you all know what I think when it arrives...

Me too...everyone's a winner at that price!

For me the sickest films I've seen are...

August undergrounds Mordum....revolting movie, still makes me feel ill but that's why I love it
Salo...always makes me feel quilty
Philosophy of a knife....closest I've ever coming to vomiting while watching a movie
Cannibal...another one that felt like an ordeal
Fetus...indie film from the US that has some really nasty stuff
The Gateway Meat...another indie one that has gore galore
Men behind the scene...decompression chamber scene is one of the horrific things I've ever seen
Aftermath...really gross!

For me horror got very boring for a while as I was sick to death of shitty sequels. Most things getting releasing were so cliched, safe and predictable. It was Mordum that opened the door for me to indie horror. These days I find myself checking out these low budget indie flicks more than anything.
