Episode 471

Will the complete episode 471 be include in the UK DVD release? I hope so (as there is a break before the next release). This episode had a couple of scenes edited due to the Edna Pearson storyline - but it was not released on the Edna Pearson story DVD.

dont forget 470 is also cut on the edna release

Thanks for the info Robert. I took the DVD at its word and assumed episode 470 was completely unedited - I guess it pays to check though doesn't it!

The BBFC have passed the episodes for volume 15. It seems as if the Edna episodes are the cut ones as their length are in the main much shorter than the other episodes in the set. Interestingly the BBFC have already passed these episodes when they were longer and were part of the Edna special release!

You can get uncut 471 on the us boxset 2 ..I presume people are aware of this?

which USA box set is that on Robert.. have all the episodes been issued Stateside on dvd ??

No they haven't been released as a full set in USA..they released the "best of boxsets" volume 1 and 2..and volume 2 has the uncut episode which is cut on the UK one

each disc has a theme
1-4 "the early years"
29, 165, 471, 698 "great escapes"

i'm ploughing my way through Volume 15.. just finished episode 471 with the great helicopter escape.

i think the episodes flow quite nicely in their edited states.. if you didn't know they were cut there's only a couple of scenes that could confuse you.. the episode where we suddenly see Edna pop up talking in Marlene's cell.. and again Edna talking to some bloke in the garden.

a couple of others confused me too - scenes where there are references made to drugs inside urns and Dot going back for tea towels didn't quite flow that well in the running of things.. hope i wasn't half asleep.

still i've just ordered the Edna special so i can watch them in full.

is this the scene that is STILL missing from episode 470 ?
