It's been that long since I saw the Fog I really can't remember that much about it aside from the fact I loved it, should really pick up a copy sometime.

My fave has got to be prince of darkness,saw this at cinema on first realase,bloddy great and a great cast and soundtrack.

Yeah, I love Prince of Darkness... Carpenter acknowledged the influence of Dario Argento and Suspiria on Halloween, but the spirit of Argento is most felt in a sequence in Prince of Darkness when a character is slashed with a scissors by an assassin that could have wandered out of an Argento film. In fact this may be Carpenter's most Italian film - there's a scene where a man literally crumbles into a writhing mass of cockroaches, and the climax that recalls the mindwarp of the final act of The Beyond...

I never saw The Quatermass Conclusion, I think the DVD was OOP when I went looking. For what it's worth I thought the BBC versions of Quatermass II and The Pit were superior to the great Hammer versions, but overall the Quatermass fan is well served...
