Defo,i think one of his least well known films but still a classic

Yeah, I love Prince of Darkness... Carpenter acknowledged the influence of Dario Argento and Suspiria on Halloween, but the spirit of Argento is most felt in a sequence in Prince of Darkness when a character is slashed with a scissors by an assassin that could have wandered out of an Argento film. In fact this may be Carpenter's most Italian film - there's a scene where a man literally crumbles into a writhing mass of cockroaches, and the climax that recalls the mindwarp of the final act of The Beyond...

I agree with you wes, also carpenter was known to like the quatermass films, out of intreast does anyone remeber the quatermass series with sir john mills?again a classic

I never saw The Quatermass Conclusion, I think the DVD was OOP when I went looking. For what it's worth I thought the BBC versions of Quatermass II and The Pit were superior to the great Hammer versions, but overall the Quatermass fan is well served...
