Isn't there an explicit version of Devil Hunter? and if so - will Severin release it? as they have with The Beast in Space! Woo!

I honestly can't see anything remotely "eroticised" or "stimulating" about this scene, but that's the BBFC going by the book.

That scene alone should cover the running time of cuts...and the movie still works fine without it IMO.
I was disappointed by this one. After years of reading what a 'sicko' it was, when I finally watched the uncut Anchor Bay release I found it remarkably tame. Not a bad film, but I was expecting something more disturbing. 'Women of Cell Block 9' is Franco's best WIP flick! That one really delivers the goods.

By the way, Peter, I came across the BBFC cuts to Ilsa the Wicked Warden in issue 117 of The Darkside. According to Brad Stevens the cuts are as follows...

At 52m, shots of a chained woman being whipped (14s).

At 71m, scene showing several women being raped (1m 40s).

At 75m scene where Ilsa uses a plastic bag to suffocate a woman (37s).

The cuts were to remove sadistic and sexualised violence.

Watched Franco's CANNIBALS tonight....feckin hilarious....Al Cliver in some Spanish bloke's back garden with his arm strapped up and ,not a shotgun, but,a pellet gun...
The 20 minute interview with Jess is worth the price alone.....he condemns other cannibal films,Deodato, and his '3 queens of stupidity'ie some of his leading ladies, telling the actress in CANNIBALS that she was stupid and that no one wants to see a man '**** a puppet...it would take a special man'....obviously the guy isn't sexist or anything......

I noticed in Cannibals Cliver had an air rifle.
Its the same in Cannibal Terror. The bloke in it has an air rifle.

I know I said a few posts back I was disapointed with Devil Hunter, but after a watch tonight I found it to be quite enjoyable .
I think the last time I saw it before tonight was on VHS in the 90's and I think l expected to much from it.
