I have the Screenbound Blu of The Whip and the Body. I'll have to see if the new release keeps Jonathon Rigby's doc on the film as to double dipping and keeping both editions.

Cool it Carol is one of the best of the British sex comedies of the seventies. I wonder if it's for a possible Pete Walker box set.
No information aside from the titles, however they match (except Cool it Carol) to the clues on the 2022 release slate for 88. People are thinking that Cool it Carol might be for Screenbound.

I have The Whip & The Body too, I've not watched it although I've owned it since it came out I believe the image quality is lacking.

I went into it thinking the image wouldn't be great but i was happy enough with it. It's better than my dvd for sure. If 88 release a newly spruced up print then even better.

Cool it Carol was in their Slap n' Tickle dvd collection so would be the obvious choice but i've noticed from the reverse of Blu-ray covers they license their films out as well. Indicator have released several Screenbound titles such as the Norman J Warren films.

I'd just like to mention that a new UK release of A Candle for the Devil is very welcome on Blu-ray.

The original dvd from Odeon / Screenbound looks like shit to put it bluntly.

My Severin package of FACELESS and MANSION OF THE LIVING DEAD is sitting in the P.O. to be collected.

Quite fancy a wee Uncle Jess double bill on Saturday night....

(If I can stay awake... )

Managed to sit through Franco’s DRACULA’S DAUGHTER last night.
Typical Jess with more buush on display than the Chelsea flower show.
Have to give him his due, when it comes to onscreen eyecandy, his taste certainly isn’t in his arse......

Actually, this was one of his more enjoyable efforts.
The Screenbound transfer looked very nice indeed.

I actually watched Venus in Furs last night myself, quite unusual for a Jess Franco film but I enjoyed it. That bloody song though "Venus is Furs is smiling"!!

I will admit, I got to the end and I thought what. just. happened...

I prefer Franco to Rollin these days tbh.

Some of Rollin's films are totally wtf?

Whereas Uncle J at least has a (threadbare?) plot.

I've always enjoyed that one, and Uncle Jess certainly had an eye for beauty!

I didn't know anything about that one until you mentioned it Reaps, but I've just been onto the VS website and I can see that it's a double-bill of Two Undercover Angels and Kiss Me Monster. Sign me up for that one! I'll now be able to retire my old Blue Underground DVD double bill, so thanks for bringing that to my attention. Will you be getting them?

I still need to get hold of some of the Severin Franco titles as well, since I only ordered box sets and a couple of regular discs from the last Severin sale.
