I remember buying Deep Throat when that was released here (cut) and the gal behind the desk started talking to me about how she'd always wanted to see it... and proceeded to ask a fellow employee if he'd seen it!

As for the artwork... I like the vibe, but I do love me the Severin art:

Curious to see this get through uncut. I'll definitely be nabbing a copy of this then. Nice.

And, as we all know, the BBFC aren't against animal crielty, they just don't like filmmakers doing it. I'm off to film the local kids torturing the neighbour's cat. It's okay, I haven't staged it for the camera, they were going to do it anyway!! I expect it to get an uncut 12A.

Interesting how they list Apocalypse Now! as being unacceptable whilst the BBFC have no problem with it at all. Maybe it wasn't such a quick kill, as Ferman seemed to think it was - I actually thought it was a very protracted and cruel killing of an animal, staged or not.

Thought you'd like that site Dae. Some fascinating info in the A-Z too. Glory was cut by the BBFC despite being monitored by the AHA. I'm sure this would be waived today. The off-camera treatment of the rats on First Blood was atrocious and almost as repellent as the (thankfully cut) racoon scene in Prophecy.

Better get back on topic. We can carry this on in the Censorship section.
