- 18th November 2012 05:52 AM - permalinkwonderlustI love barbed wire, especially as restraints around wrists and ankles of the victim in a film.
- 18th November 2012 05:49 AM - permalinkwonderlustSee, the beautiful Iron Rose wouldn't have fit in with these gory selections.
- 18th November 2012 05:48 AM - permalinkwonderlustHeres my pretty new end of the draft signature.. : )
- 18th November 2012 05:45 AM - permalinkwonderlustEveryone has finished drafting. Now we wait a week, watch some H/S and then the match ups. I think I'm going to go against this guy.. He challenged me.

It fits my somewhat gore list I put together. Just a few more picks and the voting will start. You've been an awesome friend listening to my ramblings about my first B~D Legacy horror draft. You are fantastic English. : )
- 11th November 2012 03:20 PM - permalinkwonderlustToday is my viewing of Iron Rose
What are you doing today? - 11th November 2012 04:28 AM - permalinkwonderlustDon't be sorry. I like the film. I feel it fit in any time line...now, or the 80's 90's..just was alittle sad yesterday. I wanted a stellar list but one persons favorites are not another.
I like how you speak your mind. : ) - 11th November 2012 12:24 AM - permalinkDemdike@Cult LabsRun Bitch Run isn't the most pleasant film you'll ever see. I liked it though. A real nod to films like I Spit and Last House.

I thought I'd use this blog space to collate the shite that fills my head, some days to overload.
After roughly 25 years I've been thinking about writing poetry again. I used to do performance poetry in my younger days. My last performance involved walking across town carrying a 6 foot plus cross before being crucified after reciting the poem, "The Divine Lord Jason of the True Believers Ejaculating Jesus Cathedral Wants Your Soul". All this was done to the sound of a mate's...

F*ck me, I just noticed it's been 4 years to the day since I joined the forum. Even though I don't post as much as I used to, I can't break the habit of logging in every day to read the odd post here and there.
I've not the time to watch films at the moment as I do 2 karate classes a week and 2 Tai Chi classes. I'm too battered and bruised most nights to even pick up the remote let alone watch a film.

I can't seem to get my cult groove on at the moment. The thought of watching those rare gems of filth and wonder that normally send a shiver down my spine and cause both a physical and metaphysical hard-on, just ain't cutting it with me at present. Men of my age normally start to suffer erectile dysfunction but I seem to have DVD dysfunction. It's like a mid-life crisis but rather than dumping Mrs MTDS for a younger woman, I've ditched the DVD player for a Blu-ray player. Sure, it was shiny and...

I'm having a break from posting on the forum for a bit as other interests of mine excite me more at the moment.

I've been kicking this idea around for a bit now, why do some films I watch take me to another place in my head? I'm not talking about the use of music or lighting etc but why do certain films or parts of films leave me in a trance like state?
Without wishing to seem weird, could there be a spiritual dimension to film. I know it sounds odd but it's a legitimate why of describing other forms of art, especially music or painting. So why not film?
Interestingly there are...
