Sounds great to me going back to The Cult Is Alive sound. It's a lot darker than the last few albums. Cant wait to hear the whole album.

Very promising, I like it a lot. It reminds me of the Panzerfaust/Total Death era but with a better production.

Whats this talk of better production

Better production = False metal

Im extremely biased when it comes to Darkthrone if they release a jazz record with didgeridoo and pan pipes i would still love it

Been sat out listening to the brilliant Thorns album from 2001.

An album that began around ten years earlier but was delayed because band founder Snorre W. Ruch was imprisoned as an accomplice in the murder of Euronymous.

All this shit aside, the album also featuring Hellhammer on drums and vocals from Satyr Wongraven is one of the finest black metal albums i own. Ranging from primitive blast beats and ice cold music to what can only be described as sci-fi influences and industrial soundscapes.

I presume every visitor to this thread owns said album but if not it really is a ground breaking piece of work.

I saw these guys support Morbid Angel last year in Dublin and i thought they sounded boring but over the weekend i found this album in a second hand record store and it's great wish i picked up a few more and a t shirt at the gig now

Sadly i don't think they play Cherry Orchards.

Plenty of other CF material though.
