I like the way you describe it, I'm not a muso so don't really understand a lot of musical terms if used in reviews, but I do understand how music can make someone feel, or conjure an atmosphere, and that's how i try to describe it myself..

Anyone here a fan of Tiamat?

It's understandable if not as they have an ever changing musical style from extreme to Sister of Mercy wannabes.

I’ve actually got two Tiamat CDs, the second one being A Deeper Kind of Slumber which is one of their Goth ones, I put it in earlier and it all came flooding back, I played it a lot in 1997. It’s funny how you completely forget something and then when you listen to it again it’s like you’ve been listening to it forever.
