Alan from Primordial has a great YouTube channel and podcast were he tells some great stories about crazy gigs here and abroad you should give it a look. Alan Averil is the name of the channel I love the guy he is just a metal fan who happens to be in an amazing band if you get what I mean. Plus he is a little pig headed when it comes to metal like me so thats even better for me
One of my fave pit experiences was at Donington. A few of us went and one guy not really into metal went for the experience.

There was a massive pit during Fear Factory's set supposrting Demanufacture. We all went for it and then the sound cut out so we moved out of the pit except new guy, he loved it so much he stayed till the end. We thought he'd get slayed but he bloody loved it.

That was some day Fear Factory, Paradise Lost, Biohazard, Type O' Negative and Sepultura.

Ozzy was second billed with Kiss headlining.

here's Fear Factory chatting nicely with Vanessa and then on stage.

Do you like Fear Factory? They aren't a band you ever mention.

I do I only have from Soul of a New Machine to Digimortal after that I fell off not sure why. I heard Self Bias Resister on Headbangers Ball one year they played Dynamo and I instatnly fell on love with them.

Dynamo Open Air…

Now that’s a festival I always wanted to go to honestly.

One of the classic festivals. I'd have love to have gone to Wacken when i was younger.

France's Hellfest seems as good as anything nowadays. Pisses all over Download.

Yeah Hellfest is insane, it’s basically everyone on tour is invited! I guess that Bloodstock is similar but on a vastly smaller scale.

Default Fear Factory - Crisis

This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
Without me, my rifle is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless.

Gives me chills when that sample from Full Metal Jacket comes in the middle!

I was lucky enough to see Fear Factory in club gigs for Soul of a New Machine and Demanufacture

How did you survive?

I imagine them to be incendiary pits of flailing limbs.
