Yes it's great. I love stats and tables.

My fave is the Great Metal Discography which features over 1000 metal acts and shows their every release and track listing complete with any relevant chart placings on either side of the Atlantic.

Although paperback it's coffee table size.

Currently telling myself that I don't need this... the revised second edition can be had from World of Books for about a fiver

Incidentally for loo reading i dug out the official book of the British charts which lits every top 100 placing for any artist to have a single or album in the UK Top 100 since records began in the early fifties up to the end of 2001.

Although i'm only about two thirds through it it's interesting to see the likes of Napalm Death, Deicide, Nuclear Assault, Obituary and Entombed among those listed.
Sounds like a good read to see bands like that making a top 100 would also be more interesting to see who they placed above I bet those groups/bands/singers were well chuffed.

Oh you really do need it. I've read it at least ten times over the years.

I'd buy a revised copy more up to date in a heartbeat.

I'm fascinated by it. Seeing how bands compared in the US and UK charts.

It's set out by artist name rather than showing each weeks actual chart.

It's easier to skim read like that.

Apologies it's a little blurred. My camera battery went on taking the pic

Who'd have thought that Divine Intervention would have been Slayer's highest placing UK album up to 2001.

Cannibal Corpse failed to get into the UK album chart this time.

Too many tossers constantly streaming the same old wank from Billie Eilish and Nicki Minge seeing that's how the album chart is made up nowadays - sales and streams which is bullshit.

Cannibal Corpse will have sold more physical copies than probably 90% of the rest of the albums in the top 100.

Although i admit i'm not surprised as it didn't seem that well promoted in comparison to their last record.

It's a shame the way it's counted with streams. Is Metal still the strongest seller of physical albums over other genres?

It's in the top 15 for physical sales and digital purchases so it's still performed well, hard to compete with Taylor Swift having 5 albums in the top 15 of the full charts

Number one for Rock and Metal too

No, there are so many re-release albums coming out on vinyl that they're all in the top 10, it's a pretty sad state of affairs to be honest.
