Default EXTREME METAL

It was harder back in the day. Pre-internet shopping, no streaming services etc. our local shop would often get 1 copy of a European CD and if someone else bought it that was it. Virgin or HMV would order stuff in but only if it was with a UK distribution company like Plastic Head.

I guess that’s why my 90s/00s collection is all stuff like Peaceville, Earache and Candlelight.

I used to buy all my extreme stuff from either Alice's Records or Supernal Music.

I'd give them a ring each month and order a few things. That used to be enjoyable as both Alex at Supernal and the lady at Alice's (Can't remember her name...i doubt it was Alice) really knew their stuff and were happy to chat about music.

We had (have) Probe records in Liverpool but they’re all grumpy bastards. Think the record shop in High Fidelity haha.

I used to go to Vinyl Exchange in Manchester every week until they decided to blow it all up, but their prices for most stuff were £8 or £9 used so it was as easy to buy things new via mail order.

We had one shop in Ireland that sold extreme metal

Then HMV came and started getting a few bits but not too much but that was still a 7 hour round trip at the time to get to Dublin and considering I didn't drive back then it's was a right pain in the arse. Our local record shop where I live I think Metallica and Iron Maiden was as extreme as it got

Why do I keep hearing Black Mayo

It will be interesting to see what tracks they cover from the bands you mentioned.

All here. I wonder how Burn In Hell will differ from Cradle's version. Other than a baby having a tantrum on vocals
