I was so, so wrong.

Not seen them myself what a line up that was with high on fire christ

Been listening to Behemoth's I Loved You At Your Darkest cd tonight. Candle lit room, playing in the Blu-ray player through the amp in 7:1 surround sound.

Incredible.

Favorite metal albums 2010 - 2019

2010

Enslaved - Axioma Ethica Odini

Once again Enslaved take us on a journey through the mountains of Norway embracing nature celebrating the deeds of their ancestors. Blending black metal and an obvious love of Rush maybe its just me that hears this but whatever i did meet Grutle at Rush in Dublin just saying .

2011

Primordial -Redemption at the Puritan's Hand

Look its like this if Primordial release an album there is a 99% chance its going to be my favorite album of that year . I LOVE PRIMORDIAL i may have mentioned that a few thousand times over the years.

2012

Neurosis - Honor Found in Decay

I feel as Neurosis progressed Steve Von Tills solo albums and his Neurosis input started to blend more keeping the heaviness of Neurosis and that signature sound but bringing more of his somber side which works perfectly. The heaviness makes it much more harrowing than a man and his acoustic guitar ever could.

2013

Nails - Abandon All Life

17 minutes of total devastation. 17 minutes sounds like its too short but believe me after 17 minutes you need a breather Nails have a lot to say and they manage to say it to devastating in a short period of time there is no fat on this bone just pure meat angry meat.

2014

Primordial - Where Greater Men Have Fallen

What did i tell you see i told you thats what i told you did you hear me i think you heard me

2015

Batuskha - Litourgiya

From the very first time i heard this album i was in love my gushing over this band when i saw them live should be enough to show that. This album was like nothing else i had ever heard. I had such a hard time tracking this album down on vinyl it was sold out everywhere i was over the moon when i finally found it.

2016

Blood Incantation - Starspawn

Just like Batuskha Blood Incantation are doing something totally different in their genre and its a real breath of fresh air pushing the boundaries of Death Metal the Morbid Angel love is real with this band its like aliens came to earth and they landed outside a Morbid Angel gig and added the music of their home planet and gave us Blood Incantation. The was and still is alot of hype around this band and believe me the hype is real.

2017

Belphegor -Totenritual

Elements of Death Metal elements of Black Metal all elements of Satan dark evil and punishing Belphegor always deliver.

2018

Primordial - Exile Amoungst the Ruins

Sorry if its getting predictable and boring i guess i am those things

2019

Blood Incantation - Hidden History of the Human Race

This was my introduction to Blood Incantation it was the album cover that struck me first a big old alien and then the logo that i couldn't make out for the life of me but as soon as i heard a track on youtube i knew that this was something special an other album i had such a hard time tracking down on vinyl . Phenomenal album start to finish more Morbid Angel worship but this is by no means a rip off album they make it their own and its 100% their own sound just saying the influence is plain to hear.

I'm going to have to rethink my lists because the place where i got my yearly info of album releases never bloody mentioned Primordial . Two you give accolades to - Where Greater Men Have Fallen and Redemption at the Puritan's Hand - i have and never even thought to include them. Both are brilliant albums.
