Wrapping up the list 2020 - 2024

2020

Akhlys - Melinoe

This album came out of nowhere there was a little bit of buzz about it throughout the youtube community but i just thought here we go people overacting or jumping on the bandwagon as usual i was wrong . Seriously this is some dark unnerving nightmarish sh*t. The albums artwork tells you everything you need to know its like someone your sleep paralysis demon would look like and this is the album they would be playing at the foot of your bed.

2021

200 Stab Wounds - Slave to the Scalpel

If you are having a bad day throw this album on BAD DAY BE GOOOOOOOONE. Side effects may cause damaged ear drums neck pain dizziness willingness to fight moving vehicles and bleeding from the anus. Great album all the same.

2022

Blackbraid - Blackbraid I

This is some top quality stuff i love the instrumental tracks with acoustic guitar and flutes they really are beautiful so atmospheric i never really thought of Black Metal and the struggles of the Native Americans before more and more bands like this started to appear over in the states and i think it works amazingly well. Black Metal has always taken us closer to nature our surroundings and and the soil under our feet and who is closer to nature and the land that these people who were murdered raped and removed from their lands its a perfect match.

2023

Dying Fetus - Make them Beg for Death

When i did my albums of the year last year this was not number 1 but i was wrong i have been listening to this all year and its a mind blowing album such a sound from a three piece. The dual vocals are amazing and Johns riffs makes me feel like my nuts are in a vice. Apart from the amazing music look at the album art jesus wept i love it so much i ordered the long sleeve of it the day i got the album. An album that makes you feel like you could run through walls. Dying Fetus get better and better with every release.

2024

Blood Incantation - Absolute Elsewhere

Some of the best Death Metal you will ever hear mixed with some of the most transcendent cosmic extra terrestrial ambient music. This is aliens trying to communicate and metal heads are the chosen race to leave this planet and rebuild beyond the stars once we decipher the true meaning of this bands records we will show that we are worthy to go to the next level.

I spend too much time alone

SPOILER ALTER

This is my album of the year

Isn't the Blood Incantation album just two songs? Just read the review in Metal Hammer. It gets 9/10

Akhlys - House of the Black Geminis

Christ on a bike going downhill without a saddle this album is devastating they managed to make an even darker album than their last and here was me thinking they are at their peak and a long comes this album walking around listening to the soundtrack of my own nightmares.

Plot twist this is my album of the year hands down I guess the Aliens will have to wait I'm not ready
