Despite it being a Slayer album without Hanneman and Lombardo, I'm quite looking forward to it, love the cover!

Saw this yesterday and had a chuckle to myself

That's the best Slayer album cover in a long time, I haven't listened to them properly in years though, I'm thinking not since Seasons in the Abyss/Decade of Aggression era haha - like properly AGES...

Cannibal Corpse formed in 1988 in Buffalo New York with Alex Webster on Bass Chris Barnes on vocal Paul Mazurkiewicz on Drums Bob Rusay and Jack Owen on guitars. In the early years Chris Barnes was the main driving force creatively. The band were never far from controversy with their very graphic album covers and violent lyrics. In 1993 Chris Barnes would be sacked from the band with his attitude given as the main reason for his departure. Christ Barnes was replaced by George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher but Chris would find continued success with his band Six Feet Under. Cannibal Corpse continue to grow to this day and are one of the most recognisable names in Death Metal they even appeared in Jim Carreys Ace Ventura .

Can anyone recommend any desert rock albums that have been released in the past decade or so?

Not QOTSA mind you.

I used to have decent knowledge of the scene fifteen years ago but it's passed me by in recent times.
