Cool

Been into Ambient stuff for a while now. 'Biosphere' 'Music for Airports' and the VESPER version of 'Blade Runner' soundtrack or anything by Tangerine Dream are good examples of it. Not rock by a long shot, but no better chillout vibe around. I'm off to a dark corner to contemplate the universe, now where's my headphones.

"A Garland of Song" by The Owl Service. Psychedelic folk with the odd drone underscoring a couple of tracks. Impressive.

Default a slight detour....

rather than start a new thread, how about recommending scary/horrific moments in music??
to make this clear...nae samples fae I PISS ON YOUR CORPSE etc, just bits fae any sort of music that creep you out...il give you my examples...

Screamin' jay Hawkins "i put a spell on you" (not the whole song, just the laugh he does at the start, its full of menace IMO)

the "wessex" version of "Anarchy..." (also on the box set, Swindle ST etc) this is the earlier version and Lydon does just sound possessed in parts, IMO)

Abba "Under Attack" surely one of the chilliest "hits" ever, her numbed/nembutalled vocal adding an extra layer of frost to this last nail in the coffin of sweden's top export, FACT.
