An excellent band. The albums they make now are just as good as the ones they made in the 80's. And better produced.

Here's the title track from their most recent album. 2017's Gods of Violence.

Misfits - Dr. Phibes Rises Again

The chorus smacks of Blaze Bayley singing Killers era Maiden.

Been listening to this album a lot today. I really like it, it makes me want to move. (Like Kate Winslet in The Holiday when she wakes up in LA that first morning) Knowing the band in question it's probably about suicide and general misery but i find it very uplifting.

My Chemical Romance - Planetary (GO!)

I love this thread, so many new sounds to check out, so many old sounds to re-visit.

BUT my iPod is still locked on the "Monster Magnet" playlist on shuffle! I've even taken the "Steve 'n' Seagulls" album back off because I was just skippin' 'em!

I'm going to take RC measures; some Robert Calvert may help alleviate the addiction to "Monster Magnet" and lessen the withdrawal symptoms.

For those wondering who the flip Robert Calvert was:

This is from his 1974 solo album but the geriatrics amongst you may notice Lemmy and the rest of "Hawkwind" (as they were before things kicked off). This track and "Ejection" from the same album, "Captain Lockheed and the Starfighters", were also covered by "Monster Magnet", so that's nice!
