To be honest, on first listening to the album, I wasn't overly impressed

They seemed like a run-of-the-mill extreme thrash band

I don't think I would have bothered with them back in the day when I was happily listening to Venom and Bathory

The only one i had was called Reign of Light from the early 00's. It was more industrial metal than any other genre.

Samael - Reign of Light

Reign of Light (2004)

Listening to this now. Wish i'd still got it.

'Blood Ritual' is the only one of their album that I have got

I *had* to buy it because I found it in a Christian church charity shop last year, alongside CD's by Mayhem, Slayer, Sepultura etc

I thought "someone who has donated here has got a sense of humour"!
