Listening to Global Communication's 1994 album 76:14, which features a rather brazen lift of a Tangerine Dream track from the Risky Business OST, Love on a Real Train...

Only recently discovered that the ghetto/booty house legacy of Chicago (check out the Dance Mania label) has morphed into something called Footwork, which is the most wonderfully abstract hip hop/house mash up you can imagine and created purely for 'footwork' dancers.

This is one of my fave tracks by one of the scene's leading innovators DJ Rashad - Reverb

And here's an example of 'footwork':

I've also been relistening to one of my favourite artists who skirts the noise/drone/electronica periphery in his own inimitable and provocative style:

NON aka. Boyd Rice - Out Out Out

And one of France's leading electronic innovators and experimentalists from the late 70s and 80s who made this delight:

Bernard Szajner - Welcome To Death Row

I like the "footwork" clip, kind of an updating of step dancing or competitive solo Morris!

Presently listening to "Abdication...For Your Love" the new Reigning Sound ep, and also the Rif Mountain Midwinter 2009 ep.

I've also been blasting out the Bad Brains gig I went to in my home town in 1983. There's a link somewhere on the punk thread if anyone is interested.
