As a drummer (momentarily without a band, though) I know that this song is indeed great fun to play!

Yeah, we really need to add more Zep into our setlist, at the minute we only do Rock and Roll. I did record a version of Stairway at college last year, really proud of it, apart from the awful singing by a girl who sings in a choir.

That's some very respectable guitar work. Apart from the solo - which is really kick-ass!

This is my favourite version:

When I first saw this (and didn't know more about Led Zeppelin than their name and some songs on the radio) I was like: "Holy shit, this chick has a marvellous voice, and a cute ass!"

Greetings!

Thanks, I had to improvise the solo because the timing was wrong, I basically sat there playing the song while reading the lyrics and singing them in my head, the bass player and drummer were sat waiting until I gave them the nod to start playing but the end was a bit messed up. The awful vocals were added after at the request of our tutor

Yeah, the singer sounds a bit bloodless. Her voice is simply not strong enough for a song like that.

And now for something completely different:

Willy DeVille - Spanish Stroll

Just listen to those great solos from 2:35 on... I always get goosebumps when I listen to this late great master's best song. Fantastic band, too!

Greetings!
