Musically, very few bands can compete with the Iommi/Butler/Ward line up, but when it comes to vocalists, I think that Ronnie James Dio is the best one they have had

Ozzy couldn't sing to save his life, but his voice fitted in perfectly with the doom-laden music that the band produced

Ian Gillan is a great singer,but his voice was all wrong for the band

I cannot comment on the later vocalists because I kinda lost touch with the band after the 'Born Again' album
