like ornette coleman ('shape of jazz to come' is my fav), like a bit of blag flag too!

Not heard of Tiny Tim before your post, so i'm gonna check that out. Any good?

Been listening to a lot of pavement recently, one of my all time favourite bands. Anyone here like sonic youth? Heard their new album is supposed to be good (which wouldn't surprise me as they're always pretty consistent).

There is some great film footage of Tiny Tim on youtube, the clip from "Rowan and Martins Laugh In" is the best.I would include a link but I'm technostupid.
"Sister" and "Daydream Nation" are my fave Sonic Youth lps.I saw them do the whole "Daydream Nation" lp live years ago.I was never really into Pavement.Around that time I was really into Big Black,Rapeman and Shellac.Albini is a god in our house.

I'm mainly listening to garage punk these days 1960s stuff and modern.

Did you ever see any of Richard Kerns films? There's a documentary just come out about that whole Cinema of Transgression movement.Thurston Moore is in it.

Cool, like garage stuff too, love the 60s stuff a lot. I assume you got or heard the pebbles (or 'box of trash' as its known in its reissue) compilation. tons of goodness on that. If you haven't done already, you should check out Sam's mixes he posted on his blog on this site, i think you'll like.

My ex-(not so long ago) girlfriend was doing a dissertation on cinema of transgression recently, and i helped her out a bit with it (like my shit a bit arty sometimes!), so yeah i've seen plenty of that stuff. Didnt know about the doc you mention, if you got any more info on that, would be interested.

I like a lot of different stuff,at the moment I've got "Jerry Lee Lewis-Live at the Star Club,Hamburg"blasting out.It may just be the wildest thing ever recorded,Jerry Lee is on fire!

Punk is my first love but I also like folk, rockabiliy, rock n roll, garage punk(some of which you may like as a NBZ fan,a lot of the 60s stuff is R&B based),jazz and experimental music.I'm also really into American alternative music of the 80s and 90s.Oh yeah also a huge Hawkwind fan,up to 1975 and a rabid Dexy's Midnight Runners fan.I'll stop here as I could keep going on and on!
