Love The Holy Bible, I've been listening to it loads over the last week, along with Generation Terrorists and Gold Against the Soul, trying to persuade my band mates to do a cover of either Motorcycle Emptiness or From Despair to Where, not having any luck so far

I'm a massive Manics fan! There's one song from this album about anorexia and I've never be so depressed/horrified by a song. Great album.

I'm listening to Images and Words/ Scenes From a Memory by Dream Theater.

I've been meaning to buy the Manic Street Preachers' early albums for ages as I only really paid attention to their music when they released Everything Must Go, and I shamefully only own This is My Truth. Tell Me Yours.

Today, I've listened to various things including:

For a 'newbie', I would recommend:

Generation Terrorists: Amazon.co.uk: Music

Gold Against The Soul: Amazon.co.uk: Music

and (both released as limited edition double CD's if you can find them) the greatest hits CD

Forever Delayed: Amazon.co.uk: Music

and the 'b-sides and rarities' CD

Lipstick Traces - A Secret History: Amazon.co.uk: Music

Listening to Brian Eno's stunning soundtrack music for Derek Jarman's 1994 film Glitterbug. I would consider this extraordinary shape-shifting score one of Eno's finest works...

Apollo: Atomospheres and Soundtracks, Brian Eno's magestic score for the 1989 moon-landings film For All Mankind... two things worth mentioning - I'm a big astonomy nut and the music is some of the finest Ambient ever recorded. The music that plays when Ewen McGregor slips into the watery depths beneath The Worst Toilet In Scotland in Trainspotting is taken from For All Mankind and originally was set to an astronaut floating in space...
