Tony Iommi (alongside Pagey. Moore (Gary) and Townshend) were the main people who influenced me to take up the guitar

I didn't know you played guitar
For me it was Hendrix, Dave Murray, Page and John Squire, but watching the Woodstock film with my dad and seeing Hendrix play was the first time I actually thought to myself "That's what I wanna do"

I got my first 'axe' in about 1982 - it was bloody expensive. Cost me about £15! Had to take out an HP agreement on it!

First songs I learnt to play were the basic two-chord standards - 'Paranoid', 'Smoke on the Water', 'Iron Maiden', 'Ace of Spades'

Back in the day, I was lead guitarist in Gosport's leading punk band "Slum Tenement".

We were awful!!!!!!

Now, I just play with myself in the bedroom (no comments, please!). A female body is not built for holding a guitar, and playing heavy metal/punk in front of people!

I spent 10 years between bands playing to bedroom walls, best thing I ever did was "get back out there" 3 years ago after I did a "guest spot" with a mate who said I should be in a band again, just the kick up the ass I needed and now I haven't looked back since. I'm in 2 bands, teach guitar and also do session work for people in the studio while learning all the workings from the other side of the glass
