LARD? That's a new one to me! I've heard if Theatre of Tragedy, but not familiar with them (by the way how do you post album photos like that?)

They are a Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) side project This is possibly their best known song:

I saw these when they supported the Foo Fighters about 10 years ago and had only released an EP. They were so good I went to the merchandise stall and bought the CD in the break between Cave In finishing and the Foo Fighters beginning.

They'd released a lot of stuff before that! They got signed to RCA on the back of Jupiter, and did a farewell EP for Hydra Head called Tides of Tomorrow before recording Antenna. They got very jaded with the big band thing though and went back to HHR. Their discography is Beyond Hypothermia (compilation of early releases) Until Your Heart Stops Creative Eclipse (EP) Jupiter Moons of Jupiter (EP) Tides of Tomorrow (EP) Antenna (RCA debut) Anchor (singles) Perfect Pitch Black (back on HHR) Planets of Old White Silence they're also involved in a ton of side projects and other bands like Converge, Clouds, Zozobra, Kid Kilowatt, Old Man Gloom and Stove Bredsky. As you can tell, they're one of my favourite bands ever! |

Jupiter is the one that sounds most like the Tides/Antenna stuff. The first two albums are full on metalcore, PPB is an Isis-esque metal album and the other stuff is expansions of that whole space-rock (for lack of a better term) thing that they've been doing. But yeah, Jupiter. In my top 10 albums of all time, easily. |
