Been listening to Lamb a lot recently, been ages since I've given them a spin. Gorecki is one of my all time favourite songs!

I like the deep end.

I'd follow this up with (Never Give a Sucker) An Even Break by Sunny Murry, Echo by Dave Burrell, Mama Too Tight and Poem For Malcom by Archie Shepp and then go off into the proper deep end with some contemporary Free Jazz/ Improv.

Me to, but many folk like to start off with a quick paddle in the shallow end!

Haha! I don't mind some experimental jazz stuff, especially Coltrane's later stuff. However, I'm not sure I'm ready for the deep end just yet, when I listened to Eric Dolphy's Out To Lunch album and felt like I had jumped into the Mariana Trench lol

PS: Thanks for the recommendation Goji, vincenzo & elizabeth! (Oh and I've been enjoying oacis quite a bit, very minimal/subliminal but good for revising, probably deserves more of an effort than I can afford to give it at the mo!

I used to have that, not bad but once you explore jazz a bit...well you get attracted to odd things.

You can give it as much or as little attention as you want.

Let me know what you think about the other stuff.

I've had a nice mix flowing tonight which in the last hour or so has included:

Mr. Bungle – Squeeze Me Macaroni
Faith No More – Star A.D.
Primus – Grandad's Little Ditty
General Patton vs. The X-Ecutioners – Convulsive Antidote For Nerve Agent Autoinjector (CANAA)
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - A Hymn to the Morning Star
Estradasphere - The Trials and Tribulations of Parking on Your Front Lawn
Mike Patton - A Lizard with the Skin of a Woman
Fantômas Melvins Big Band – Ripping Chicken Meat
Eyvind Kang – Taksim
Peeping Tom – Celebrity Death Match (Feat. Kid Koala)
Idiot Flesh – Invisible

I'm now listening to one of my favourite Cubanate albums - Interference.
