Sad news. I think I knew this was coming though. Damn!!
I have followed RUSH since 1976 when I heard the album 2112.
Seen them in concert many times.

Favourite album: Signals
Favourite track : Mission

Best gig I have ever been to so glad I got a chance to see them play.

This was news to me.

Slayer are doing one final world tour. No mention of any new record though.

I was gutted when I saw this yesterday, but I think it’s time they gave up, I loved the last album and would’ve liked to hear some Slayer written by Gary Holt, but if their hearts not it anymore (cough Tom Araya cough), then it’s time to call it a day and go out with a bang. Never seen em live so I’m hoping the UK leg has a gig near me

You've surprised me there, Rik. I'd have put my house on a bet you'd seen them live.

If their hearts aren't in it then why bother with a final tour? A few select arena or stadium slots would suffice you'd think.

A shame as Repentless was their best in years. Sadly in my opinion they never bettered the albums released between 1986-90. Reign in Blood, South of Heaven and Seasons in the Abyss. In fact they've never even come remotely close.

None of my music loving mate are into metal, which is why it took me 22 years to finally see Maiden live in 2011, I’ll go for a pint on my own but I’ve never fancied a gig on my own.

I agree about Repentless, great album, but nothing comes close to the Unholy Trinity of Reign in Blood, South of Heaven and Seasons in the Abyss
