Well to be fair Susan, the bass work on that song is actually bloody good.

Oh aye - I would never take anything away from someone who plays an instrument, but someone from a teen pop band is not someone who I would instantly think of in connection with a neo prog / rock band

I remember the backlash when Trevor Horn (from The Buggles) joined Yes

It's only for one gig and they've probably been friends for 40+ years

For me Nick Beggs is a phenomenal bass player the bass lines on every Kajagoogoo song are on a different level crazy complex stuff for a "pop" band and he was only a teenager back then.

Still no Iron Maiden

As we have said before, this is an (unfunny) joke

"Nominations for the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame are out. Here are the picks: Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Cher, Lenny Kravitz, the late Sinead O’Connor, Ozzy Osbourne, Sade, Oasis, Eric B. & Rakim, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Jane’s Addiction, Dave Matthews Band, and Kool & the Gang"

John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation said:
"Continuing in the true spirit of rock ‘n’ roll, these artists have created their own sounds that have impacted generations and influenced countless others that have followed in their footsteps"

Mariah Carey is so rock n' roll it hurts. The fact she's nominated tells you everything about that farce of an award.

At least Dolly Parton went out and recorded a rock album to justify her inclusion

Rock n Roll hall of fame is a complete joke. Look how long it took Judas Priest and Rush to get in. Two of the most influencial bands of all time.

That's really odd because in the latest Metal Hammer Kerry King said he hadn't heard from Tom Araya since they split in 2019. Not even a text.

Anyway that's great news. Liverpool win 4-1 and Slayer are back

Result!!
