They do talk some bullshit don't they. Bloody social media makes everyone think they have a voice everyone should listen to.

Dirkschneider - Winter Dreams (feat. Doro Pesch)

Balls To The Wall Reloaded (February 28th, 2025)

Now they say you learn something new every day.

I have never owned the Accept album Balls to the Wall even though i am very familiar with the title track.

I put on this new music video from their former singer Udo Dirkschneider and absolutely loved it. Superb video as well. Doro complements him beautifully.

It was only as i came to post it that i found out it was originally on said Accept record.

I pretty much shamed myself with my lack of Megadeth song knowledge in an earlier discussion on another thread earlier today so i got all my Megadeth cd's out with the aim of listening to everything after Risk - I know and love that one like the back of my hand.

So starting with Cryptic Writings. It's like listening to brand new music to me. Have i ever listened to this before? I must have but, God knows when.

Anyway Track 2 Almost Honest. Wow!! I love it. My new favourite song (of the week) those instruments during the chorus. Wonderful.

I notice it was produced by Dann Huff which was a surprise. Huff was leader of the extraordinary AOR band Giant whose Last of the Runaways was a mainstay on my record player at the end of the 80's. No wonder this song has gorgeous melodies in the music.

Have you heard Risk at all?

That's basically a pop album in places. It's sports arena stuff.

Megadeth - Crush 'Em

Risk (1999)

I love it, and the album, but it's not really Megadeth is it?

Cryptic Writings has two absolute belters. I've already posted Almost Honest. There's also this which i've definitely heard many times before. That intro riff, so simple yet so cool.

Megadeth - A Secret Place

Cryptic Writings (1997)

I honestly think this is up there with the very best of Megadeth. If i was doing a Deth compilation tape for the car. These two would be definitely having pride of place.

Megadeth - Reckoning Day

Youthanasia (1994)

Any song that starts with a riff like this and ends with that drum beat is an instant classic with me.
