His beard does
But as a producer, he's lazy as ****, just sits there stroking his beard while others do all the work thses days, not like when he was producing great albums like Reign In Blood or Californication

There are three producers who stand out:

- Andy Wallace for White Zombie's La Sexorcisto: Devil Music, Vol. 1
- Terry Knight for most Grand Funk Railroad albums
- Tony Visconti for Thin Lizzy's Bad Reputation

Doesn't matter if you like them or not, but well done to Avenged Sevenfold for their number one UK album.

I liked their last album (Nightmare), haven't heard this one yet though

I've got three of theirs and Nightmare is by far the best. The new one is only £6 on Amazon, so i'll probably order that this week. There is a deluxe edition but it doesn't have any extra tracks which is pointless.

Nightmare is the only one I own, I bought it after constantly seeing the title track video on the Kerrang! channel, I'll probably pick this up at some point

I have recently got all three volumes of this

At time of writing, I have only seen the first one - I am up to disc 3 for the second set

Vol 1 is fun. It covers the period 1974 - 1977 through various means. Some of the footage is quite ropey, but it's ALL good.

However...a lot of the songs are repeated over and over and over....I have lost count of the number of occasions I have heard Paul Stanley say 'This place is so hot, I think we need to call" (pause while he walks to the back of the stage to get a hat) "the FIREHOUSE". And Gene Simmons spits blood... and breathes fire

I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just saying that there is a lot of repetition in the sets

Also, I was led to believe that KISS shows were very over-the-top, but this set shows that the theatrics were used sparingly in the early days

Personally, I would love to see something similar done by Alice Cooper, showing how his live sets have evolved over the years
