Not a very good album, probably one the worst by Slayer, but I've always loved this cover and wish I hadn't sold the 12" of this a few years back

Much better album, the return of the Godfather of double bass drum, Dave Lombardo and a cracking cover from Slayer regular Larry Carroll

I don't mind it, it's just not one I listen to as often as the others. And yes, the title track is ****ing awesome, especially live on the Decade of Aggression album, other than that and At Dawn They Sleep, the rest is pretty mediocre, though not as bad as Diabolus In Musica

Looks like the cover of a bad splatter movie - not that this is a bad thing, of course!

When I saw them live, they opened up with 'Hell Awaits', complete with recording of the backward-message intro

If you're wondering about the opening, it actually says 'join us' - a nod of the head to 'Evil Dead'?

I only realised what was being said when I bought the vinyl and played it backwards, same with the intro to Still Life by Maiden from the Piece of Mind album, actually Nicko messing about

Have you read the Richard Price book on which the film 'The Wanderers' is based? 'Clockers' is another fine read by Price and a fine film too.
