Totally agree, Susan. Europe are the best band on that bill in the year 2021.

It's supposedly Whitesnake's final tour according to David Coverdale. I've never seen them and would have loved to in the late eighties. I'm not too bothered now as i think Coverdale's voice is shot performing live which is a pity.

To me that's the ideal festival. One stage, five bands all playing the type of music ideal for hot festivals.

The line up is probably Nordicdusk's idea of hell.

From the bands playing i've seen -

Skid Row, Warrant, Bulletboys, Slaughter and Vixen.

I would have seen Lita Ford had she not pulled out of the Birmingham date she was supposed to play on Bon Jovi's New Jersey tour. Shy filled in at the last minute. I bloody hate Shy. Lita played all the other dates. She just did it to spite me i'm sure.

PETER KAY’S DOING IT FOR LAURA – A VERY SPECIAL CHARITY Q & A - MatineeShare on: General tickets on sale:
Friday 30th July 2021: 9.00am
Peter Kay returns O2 Apollo Manchester to host two very special charity Q & A shows in aid of Laura Nuttall.

Laura was 18 and in her first term at Uni when, after a couple of headaches and a routine eye test, she was given the devastating diagnosis of Glioblastoma, a Grade 4 brain cancer with a prognosis of 12-18 months.

She has since been through two brain surgeries, 30 sessions of radiotherapy and 12 months of chemotherapy and soon exhausted all the treatment options available in the UK.

Her family identified experimental immunotherapy available in Germany and Laura has been making regular trips to Cologne, when Covid has allowed. She is now two and a half years post diagnosis and has just completed her second year at Manchester University.

She is also a young ambassador for the Brain Tumour Charity, supporting them with raising funds and awareness. Laura’s doing really well but needs to continue to fund the treatment in order to stay one step ahead of the cancer.

All profits will go towards Doing It For Laura, a charity established to help pay for her treatment with a portion of the profits going towards The Brain Tumour Charity.

Where:
O2 Apollo Manchester
When:
Saturday 7 August 2021 - 1.30pm
