Amazon Marketplace Soft Cell: Say Hello, Wave Goodbye - 2xCD / 1xDVD - £3.73 DVD tracklisting:
The CDs are the complete show, with disc 1 being O2Verture - Youth and then disc 2 being The Best Way To Kill - Say Hell, Wave Goodbye This is possible not something that you would expect me to get, but I really liked Soft Cell back in the day. I'm not going to say that they were a guilty pleasure because I feel no guilt in admitting that I like them (either now or all those years ago). Yes, I *know* that they are about as far removed as you can get from the NWOBHM, but I don't care - they were (and still are) a bloody good band I wasn't a big fan of the other synth bands of the day, because they were too uptempo and jolly, but Soft Cell had a dark and sinister / sleazy underbelly that you only really knew if you were *in the know* (if that makes sense) To me, they were (tonally and lyrically if not musically) an updated version of The Velvet Underground

From the local Air Ambulance shop £1. I had this on cassette back when it first came out in 1987 and genuinely did wear out the tape i played it so much on my Walkman. Just been listening to it now when gardening and loved it all over again. |

Part Chimp - Droooool (2021). Found this whilst out galvanting. Nothing out of their comfort zone, but I'm happy with that.

Three from the Air Ambulance shop whilst dog walking. All in excellent condition. Really pleased with the 5FDP album. A band i really like but don't have much of their stuff. I can't recall what Escape the Fate sound like, probably Metal Core but for a quid i thought i'd try it and The MCR best of is for the car. |
