I don't have that Killers album yet, though it is one I have been meaning to buy.
As for the pop-punk compilation, I can only think record company didn't have many options and was a bit desperate so decided anything with electric guitar and drums would do!
It's actually a really good compilation - Sum 41, Fountains of Wayne, 30 Seconds to Mars, Blink 182, Good Charlotte, Weezer, Bloodhound Gang, Angels and Airwaves, Bowling For Soup, Simple Plan, Feeder, Lit, Avril, Andrew WK, Ash, Iggy, Fall Out Boy, Incubus and many more.
