I have always been a huge fan of Dawn, but watched Day recently with the commentary and man, it's better than I remembered. Day is, and I hate to say it, but it's the best Romero dead film. It doesn't have the humor of Dawn, but it's more political in many ways. The female antagonist, the military angle is expanded upon. There is no zombie film that beats the Romero trilogy. His first three takes are unparalleled. But as far as fave horror films, I have an affinity to "Martyrs" and "Maniac". And of course anything by Carpenter.
