BADLANDS is a great, great film. What's very interesting about it coming out on Criterion is that it marks the company's first title licenced from Warner Bros, so let's hope we get to see more great titles given similar treatment. I'd bet that O LUCKY MAN is a certainty but I'd love to see THE DEVILS and PERFORMANCE too.

Aside from The Tree of Life, I'm pretty sure it's the only Terence Malick film they haven't released on Blu-ray and, if Days of Heaven and The Thin Red Line are anything to go by, Badlands will be another stunning release.

Also, this is a list of all their upcoming releases http://www.criterion.com/library/expanded_view?f=1&s=release_date

Can't say I'm too fussed on that Badlands cover, looks more like Tintin to me.

I don't have any Criterion Blus, they're all region-locked so there's no sale here, I'm afraid.

Ballad of Narayama BD

Just to give the heads-up - there appears to be an encoding error on this. No word yet of a replacement programme.

I'd never noticed this thread before - its like an addicts drop-in centre. I've been selling stuff and. Buying up Criterions with the proceeds - it's the only way I can justify 20 quid a pop.

To buy list: The Red Shoes, Black Narcissus, the Thin Red Line and Cul De Sac.

Wanted - Les Yeux Sans Visage, Dead Ringers/Crash, Carnival of Souls, Throne of Blood, Seconds, any Herzog and so on and on.....
