Blimey! I did know about all those UK discs!
I'll have to check my 30 DAYS OF NIGHTS as I still have that on DVD.

I remember having to sent the discs back from THE TERMINATOR way back as they were looking bad and there was a recall.

The ones i listed were all Blu's not dvd's so your 30 Days of Night on dvd is not an issue. Mine isn't. I watched it a few months ago.

Ah yeah. Sorry Dem, I did not register the Blu ray..

That's real cr*p! You never think of Blu rays being affected.

Cabin In The Woods is another one, Lionsgate discs from that era are prone to the rot. And annoyingly the Paradise Lost live album which came with a Blu-ray of the concert ?At the Mill? has rotted and that?s only around 2 years old. It?s all bronzed and won?t play.

Unfortunately its just our hard luck.
Warner US release titles seem to be the most affected but US Anchor Bay releases such as Frankenstein Created Woman were affected.
It does seem that it is only the US made titles of Warner that are affected? I have not heard of a UK disc rot plague.
I checked my 26 Anchor Bay DVDs (14 of which are Hammer) and only Frankenstein Created Woman was faulty. I'll be checking the US Warners next. I'm really sad about the Frankenstein, as I haven't upgraded it to Blu-ray yet. Ah well, I'm slowly upgrading some of my collection, which is about 1500+ DVD, but I won't be upgrading most of them, because I probably won't be watching many of them again (The Amazing Howard Hawks? Not bad, but once was enough )

I checked my Anchor Bay Frankenstein Created Woman last night. It was fine. I ended up watching it all seeing as it was a while since i last saw it.

It's not the individual release though. It's the double pack with Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires so may have been a different disc pressing to the stand-alone release.

That's good. I'll have to check mine out soon.
My Anchor Bay 'The Reptile' played okay on a test view but my 'Rasputin The Mad Monk' freezes and won't play anymore!

I don't have Rasputin any more. I upgraded to the StudioCanal Blu a few years ago.

Yeah, RASPUTIN Blu Ray is great. I like the fact that you have an option on the screen ratio. I always wanted the 2:35 version.
So yes, my Anchor Bay Rasputin DVD has bitten the dust.
Just FRANKENSTIEN CREATED WOMEN, PREHISTORIC WOMEN, THE VIKING QUEEN, THE LOST CONTINENT and THE MUMMY'S SHROUD left to check out now.
