We have been following the ongoing discussion about our AMERICAN NINJA box set online and on Facebook. We originally planned to do these as a amaray box set but for reasons we could not control the RRP was brought down to a price that would not enable to us to ever recoup costs from this extravagent and expensive undertaking. In addition, fans bemoaned having an amaray set which, at the RRP offered, was sadly unavoidable.

Indeed, our original plan was to NINJAS 3 and 4 on the same disc.

As a result of interest in these movies, and with some voices indicating they might not wish to own the entire franchise, we have decided to, initially, release all four NINJA films separately. Each title will come with reversible artwork, a collector's booklet which will be EXCLUSIVE to each individual film, and there's more... we have personally invested in two commentaries: one for AMERICAN NINJA and another for the sequel. In addition, we have a new feature length documentary, directed by Jim Kunz and edited and produced by Naomi Holwill at High Rising Productions. This is an insanely good extra feature will appear on the first AMERICAN NINJA and it really is everything you would ever need to know about this incredible series!

For those that want a box set we will be doing an exclusive logo less double walled slipcase to house all 4 - directly from our shop.

I'm hoping for some birthday money which I'll spend on those preorders and 8-14 of the 88 Films 'Grindhouse Collection'.

I'm not exactly sure what to do about the American Ninja BDs, as I haven't seen any of the films. I might wait until they are released and rent them or, just as a blind buy, preorder the boxset which works out marginally cheaper than buying them all individually.

I'm a sucker for collections so, even if the sequels aren't great, would probably buy them all individually anyway.

Sounds like one slipcase you put the keep cases in and then the whole thing goes in another slipcase to me.

I think it just means a thick box, like Arrow used for the Corman set, or something similar, instead of a flimsy case a lot of box sets come in.

I've pre-ordered the box. Didn't think it would be up quite so soon, but I'll just tighten the budget until next payday now.
