I'm really excited for these to be released.

Kickstarter campaigns raise money for a given project by people pledging money, usually for a reward with the greater the pledge, the greater the reward.

For Kickstarter see South Park for an outline of their business.

Apparently, the slasher collection is in US sized cases.

I wonder if 88 are going to do a Kickstarter for Zombi Holocaust or not? How long does a new HD transfer take to do - days, weeks, months?

Not quite. Restoring a film is different from asking for money to make your own project. We are a company of two people (plus Calum on some press and acquisition duties), both of whom work side jobs to sustain 88 Films. Given that fans have made it clear they are unhappy with the elements used by Shriek Show for their releases of Zombi Holocaust and Burial Ground and, given that these movies are not exactly set to sell Avatar numbers, the sole way in which to pay for a new restoration for fresh elements is via offering incentives through which the fans can invest in this.

It's a win-win scenario. We wouldn't ask for your cash to, for instance, back a new lavish gold-plated 88 Films office in Soho next door to the BBFC or anything!

Two - three weeks. I think you can tell how fast we have been moving in acquiring new titles over the past few weeks We want to make sure we can bring these movies to you as soon as possible.
