Genuine question. I used to have the vhs and bought the 88 dvd release, it really is terrible though, and i usually quite enjoy 80's scream queen affairs.
I really like it, yes. I don't even consider it a guilty pleasure.

It's like not reading the books acknowledgements that's all.

Yeah, would be like buying an autobiography and NOT looking at the pictures. Lol. It is a good article though. Amusing vitriol.

There is an important point that 88 Films are now loaded and have over £15,000 in excess cash, so it will be very disappointing if the films are released without any extra features and 88 basically pocketing the change.

As 88 Films have secured the funding to restore these films from the original negatives, they should try to make the releases the best in the world and not something like, with Zombie Holocaust/Doctor Butcher MD, something which will be improved upon by another company a few months later. They certainly have the financial resources to do so – the only question is: do they have the will?

Not so much the will as the common sense. If the releases are bare bones then sooner or later fans will lose patience. I was genuinely umming and ahhing before kicking in as I cant help shake the suspicion I'll end up upgrading all the releases sooner rather than later.. Really hope i'm wrong though.

They have to know that many people will be genuinely angry at any lack of effort, who will stop buying and wait for someone else to release a better version, rather than just a case of 'a few people moaning' which won't make any difference in the long run.

To be honest, I have already stopped filling out my Italian Collection due to the special features harking back to the dawn of DVD with an interactive menu and a choice of audio

My interest hasn't been caught up with these 4 films and I don't think there will be much in the way of features for any of them - I decided against backing as well. I'll probably pick up the Fulci and maybe Beyond the Darkness if the reviews are decent but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm seriously considering the option of refunding my pledge. I'll wait a couple of more days and if they remain silent, I'll ask Indiegogo for a refund.
