I'm sure Creativ won't mind me saying this but i'd make sure the blu has a commentary because you'll feel pretty short changed based on the film itself.

It does have the commentary, but even if it didn’t, i’d rather have a film on blu than dvd.

The US release is actually a completely different version of the film, I re-edited it for the 88 Films version and made it much tighter and fast-paced (and added some extra nude shots!). I really don't recommend the US version - it's incredibly slow and boring - though it is of course the only way to get it on blu-ray.

If you're a completist you could always get both versions!! The commentary is also different on the US version.

To be honest I was'nt a fan of the haunting of... it had 2 things going for it and both belonged to the lovely Raven but your passion and honesty for hellriser has guaranteed I'll buy it

I really didn't care for The Haunting of Annie Dyer, because I was expecting a serious horror film. It wasn't until I listened to the commentary and Steve Lawson explained that he intended it to be funny that I realised why I thought it was a rubbish horror film! It's something I want to rewatch knowing the director's intentions and challenges.

The main problems with The Haunting of Annie Dyer is that the sex and horror elements are too tame to be of much interest to anyone, and the comedy elements are so obscure that nobody found it funny either! I take full responsibility for it, it was a dud by any standards.

That's one of the reasons for doing Hellriser, I wanted to make up for the failings of "Annie Dyer", so this one has some proper horror, stronger nudity/sex and some actual jokes, plus a better plot and production values.

Plasterface - you definitely get a lot more Raven Lee for your money in this one!

I agree with that on all counts.

Have just ordered Sorority Row & Watch me When I Kill direct from 88 (havent ordered direct before), can anyone tell me how they pack them? Ie: would 2 blu's in one package fit through my letterbox? Or do they overpack them like when amazon send a steelbook?

Thanks!

When I've received more than one from them recently, they've been in a large cardboard box with the postman knocking rather than try to push them through the letterbox. Fortunately, I've been in when that happens, so don't know if they would be able to fit through with enough force.
