I imagine restorations like those are pretty time-consuming.

Once they've got the film scanned it's the process of restoration and grading which I imagine will take the most time. 88 want Holocaust out as quickly as they can, I wonder how long Exposure were sat on the rights before deciding they couldn't deal with it? Are the licenses only for five years or something? If it is five years then Exposure could have held it for a year or two already.

So long as we get the best possible looking transfer I'll be happy.

So a bit of a news update from 88 Films, I posted a few questions on facebook earlier and they replied -

Burial Ground is scanned and by none other than Vinegar Syndrome
Zombi Holocaust is at Pinewood
Burial Ground can have the Italian audio but the rights holders insist on 'burnt in subtitles'
They will hopefully have their upcoming releases up as pre-orders in their shop soon

I suspect that most people will need the subtitles when watching the Italian audio, I'm half Sicilian and I can barely follow an Italian audio track without subtitles, they speak too damn quick!

Do you get more dialogue that way as subtitles quite often shorten what is actually being said.

Yeah, sometimes but like I said, because they speak too quick, my limited grasp of the Italian language isn't much help in those circumstances!
