Director/ star Lo Leih (Five Fingers of Death, Miracles) plays the evil ex-monk Pai Mei, a man with white hair, near-supernatural fighting skills and a bitter hatred of Shaolin scholars. Facing him down is the callow Hung Wen-ting (Gordon Liu, who would himself play the cruel Pai Mei in Kill Bill Volume 2). But will his kung fu ever be good enough to take out the mad killer? It's a follow-up to the earlier Executioners from Shaolin but don't worry if you haven't seen that: Clan of the White Lotus remixes the elements and turns up the volume to create something that stands tall on its own merits. 88 are proud to present the UK bluray premiere of an old skool chop socky classic." Overall that's a pretty good lineup. Something for everyone more or less. Mystery Men isn't a great film though. Could have/should have been but oh well. might buy it, depending on the special features as it was a troubled production and apparently much of the cast didn't get along. It's not that well known but Ben Stiller is a bad tempered prick and gets tantrums if things aren't going his way. In an interview with Steve Johnson on a Highway To Hell disc he said that Stiller blew up because they had to cut filming his scene because a storm was coming. Not the only person who's had a story like this. |

![]() Always loved that Hollow Man artwork. However,I’ll need to rebuy the Ltd Ed for the underrated Hollow Man 2. ![]()

![]() That was a film where I expected the worst and was pleasantly surprised.
