I was going to order Eyeball. Decided not to bother. It was a pound more expensive than Amazon, plus postage, i'd only save 75p in the end. Not quite the bargain i thought. |

Might have been there a while but they got a few £5 blus in their last chance section (£3.75 with voucher). Few slasher/vault/italian collection titles that are worth that price. Imagine they will sell thru fast now.

Quote: Release date: April 4 "Written and Directed by John Sayles (PIRANHA, THE HOWLING) this 1920’s set drama based on real events, details the brutal battle between miners, strikebreakers and a corrupt coal mining company in a tense and emotional story of small-town poverty, bitterness and exploitation. When union man Joe Kenehan (Chis Cooper) arrives in the backwater town of Matewan, West Virginia to organise a workforce to stand up against the Stone Mountain Coal company, he finds that instead of the men presenting a united force against their real enemy, they are embroiled in disputes between themselves as tensions rise between white miners and black workers. Despite all good intentions, the situation spirals out of all control and a bloody fight for livelihoods and dignity ensues." SPECIAL FEATURES

'Zeder' (1983) - Blu-Ray Pre-order available at 88Films direct - £24.99 Release date: April 25 "From Italian director Pupi Avati (THE HOUSE WITH LAUGHING WINDOWS) Zeder combines the aesthetics and atmospherics of the Giallo feature with those of the zombie movie in a slickly presented horror thriller. When Stefano, a young novelist is given a vintage typewriter as a birthday present, he discovers that the machine’s ribbon contains the writings of a scientist proposing the existence of ‘K-Zones’, places where the dead can actually rise from their graves. Stylish, creepy and downright chilling, Zeder is the perfect movie for lovers of 80s Italian exploitation" Special Features and Specs:

Has anyone seen Zeder? Is it any good? There's not a lot in this set to make me want to spend £25 on it as an unknown quantity Humphrey's artwork is uninspiring. Although i have his book i find i'm not as impressed with his newer artworks as his older ones. So many of them seem , well, rushed, perhaps. |
