Default The 88 Films Thread

Hi,

We've got a whole bunch of titles planned for DVD release soon along with a few Blu-ray releases but inevitably these take a longer time to confirm as we have to wait for masters to be created.

We were wondering what everyone's thoughts were about these as upcoming DVD titles:

Shrunken Heads
Arcade
Oblivion
Shadowzone
Beach Babes 2
The Creeps
Hideous
End of the World
Alice Sweet Alice

88 Films
Pete, Gigantor, keirarts and 1 others like this.

Great titles there. Especially looking forward to the classic Full Moon titles, Arcade, Shrunken Heads, Oblivion and Shadowzone. Was actually curious if we'd see Beach Babes 2. Hopefully we'll see more early 90's titles like Robot Wars, Crash and Burn, snd Invisible (Mandroid 2), in the not so distant future.

It looks like 88Films are releasing a new version of 'The Boogey Man' soon

"An original UK ‘video nasty’ Ulli Lommel’s creepy classic, THE BOOGEY MAN, returns to British shelves in this stunning HD remaster - completely uncut and uncensored!

In this eighties slasher-sickie the spirit of a sleazy psycho-sexual madman is trapped in a mirror during the night of his death. Years later and this evil entity is freed when the glass is destroyed - allowing our invisible prowler to slice and dice his way through a bevy of helpless teenagers and the family of the people who caused his untimely demise. Featuring a cameo appearance from horror legend John Carradine, and an alluring leading lady turn from the sexy Scream Queen Suzanna Love, THE BOOGEY MAN was a critical and commercial smash hit upon its original 1980 release.

Now, decades after this sleeper spook-show first disturbed censors across the world, THE BOOGEY MAN is ready to haunt your living room all over again. Don’t say you weren’t warned!!!

One of the worst (and most boring) films I've ever seen.

'The Story of a Cloistered Nun' (1973) - Pre-order available from Amazon UK for Blu-Ray - UK$17:00 or DVD - UK$12:00

Release date: December 16

"After she rejects the marriage that her wealthy parents have arranged, young Carmella Simoni (Eleonora Giorgi - Argento's Inferno) is packed off to the convent to become a nun. But there she finds the other 'brides of Christ' have some very bad habits: there are power games and sadism, and not everyone is sticking to their vows of chastity...

Co-starring exploitation queens Suzy Kendall (The Bird With the Crystal Plumage) and Catherine Spaak (The Cat O'Nine Tails), Story of a Cloistered Nun is an erotically charged assault on repressive institutions

The alter boys at 88 Films are proud to present this ripe slice of nunsploitation on blu-ray for the very first time in the UK."
