the 84minute All Eyes on Lenzi: The Life and Times of the Exploitation Titan? documentary is missing and because its missing I might just stick with their original release so I was going to get it but not now.

I got carried away by the whole upgrading to 4k thing, but now, unless the bluray was originally not very good, or I never got around to buying it, I'm taking a big swerve on the upgrades. The difference in image quality isn't that huge to be honest. It's all very tiring just every month more new versions of films we only bought a few years ago that if we're lucky watched twice since.

Really sad to see 88 use those afwful carboard sleeves for the Fong Sai Yuk set. Indicator (and Arrow) have a lot to answer for

'Facets Of Love' (1973) - coming to Blu-Ray from 88Films

Release date: October 28

"A costume drama like no other, Facets of Love tells the stories of the Shanghai brothel in the early years of the 20th century: of its devious owners, of the unhappy innocents that have been tricked into toiling there and of the entitled men who visit, the ordinary and the illustrious

A good deal saucier than the martial arts movies that its producers at Shaw Brothers studio are most famous for, Li Hsang-han's film is a sensual indulgence, with beautiful design and photography. There's even a small early appearance from Jackie Chan! 88 Films are proud to present the UK Blu-ray premier of this sumptuous, decadent delight

'Mortuary' (1982) - Blu-ray pre-order available from Amazon UK - UK$17:00

Release date: November 25

"This twisted tale from director Howard Avedis is a prime slasher which arrived at the end of the stalk n' slash craze and added a touch of giallo and devil worship to the mix

Christie (Mary Beth McDonough) is convinced her father's death wasn't an accident and tries to unlock the truth. Her trail of clues leads to the local mortuary where she uncovers ghastly horrors beyond her imagination. Probably best known for starring Bill Paxton as an embalmer (the movie is also known as Embalmed) who is a bit of a social misfit with an unhealthy, lifelong crush on Christie. Mortuary contains plenty of juicy set-pieces and bloodletting for fans of the genre to enjoy"

'The Story of a Cloistered Nun' (1973) - Pre-order available from Amazon UK for Blu-Ray - UK$17:00 or DVD - UK$12:00

Release date: December 16

"After she rejects the marriage that her wealthy parents have arranged, young Carmella Simoni (Eleonora Giorgi - Argento's Inferno) is packed off to the convent to become a nun. But there she finds the other 'brides of Christ' have some very bad habits: there are power games and sadism, and not everyone is sticking to their vows of chastity...

Co-starring exploitation queens Suzy Kendall (The Bird With the Crystal Plumage) and Catherine Spaak (The Cat O'Nine Tails), Story of a Cloistered Nun is an erotically charged assault on repressive institutions

The alter boys at 88 Films are proud to present this ripe slice of nunsploitation on blu-ray for the very first time in the UK."
