Great stuff, some of the B/W episodes are great fun, the one set in a train station is so very 60s Britain you can almost hear The Beatles

Have you seen Callan before D?

I've heard of it but know nothing about it. Those two series seem good value at £14 for the pair. Do you think i may like it? I thought Dempsey and Makepiece was superb if that's any help. I have The Sweeney box set but ain't watched it yet, i imagine i'll love it though.

Have you never seen the film even?? Callan ... er, it's Callan really. Amping up the seediness of Harry Palmer, follow our erstwhile 'hero' into a no man's land. This is all from the Channel 4 repeats (Budgie also ... ). Russell Hunter excels as his 'snout' Lonely. It's very different to either of those. Very. I'm counting the hours ....

Very helpful.

Have you ever thought of doing audio description for dvd's? I bet you'd be a whiz at that.

To be honest, I am a bit speechless really. I had a vague memory from childhood which was bolstered by them repeated ones. I really look forward to a binge of these earlier ones as C4 only showed the colour episodes I think?? Shady buggers spying on each other, in cafes and pubs, it's just so British cough ... Review poste haste!!!
