It's alright Demdike you didn't sound awkward at all, from what I remember both Holocaust and Burial Ground where sub-licensed from Exposure. The Blu's even have the Exposure Cinema logos on the discs. 88 might have told me via email that they needed to get Holocaust out pronto because of the rights expiration...

Possibly. Without looking at them side by side it will be impossible to tell.

I'm sure there will be on Facebook. I don't care. Someone else will put out an even better release sooner or later.

Yeah I'm waiting for the virtual reality edition that gives you painful electric shocks during the death scenes.

Every release I buy, every one, I purchase with the knowleedge that eventually I will probably need to buy it again from another company at some point down the line. I refuse to purchase stuff like that idiotic German release of Dellamorte Dellamore where they included an entire extra disc for a pointless 3D version, I also get very wary about companies that stick what I deem 'fan edits' on releases (not referring to dr buther here btw) as they should be left online as any fool with editing software can go back and re-insert deleted scenes.
However so long as there is extra milage to be had out of a print, so long as there are more extras to be had, eventually any release will sooner or later be trumped.

As for 88, again I doubt very much that they are weeping or nashing teeth or having sleepless nights. Nor do I believe Calum Waddell is foaming at the mouth and head spinning because someone put out a better release. They already made their money, the release has been out quite a while and was crowd funded. Besides, at £8.99 in HMV I doubt very many punters give that much of a shit either.

That sort of thinking is for some of the darker areas of Facebook. Places where people spend their days attacking 'mindless drones' who purchase Arrow/88 releases while at the same time dedicating the same level of energy as a the 'label fanboys' into how much they hate those labels while lacking the self awareness to realise how equally insane it is...

I'd like to have Dr Butcher MD as I ordered the Paragon VHS tape from the US many years ago, and had it seized and confiscated by UK customs. They made me feel a right degenerate in the nasty letter they sent me after opening up my parcel and finding this hideously obscene film inside. I felt on the same level as a paedophile ordering in child pornography. It all seems so completely ridiculous now.
