It was indeed, especially when you consider the specificity of the product they are selling, i.e. "we know Peter Cushing so well that we can do a box of curiosities for connoisseurs". Even if this was done by the marketing intern, which is for me the most probable, and that most millennials or GenZ probably are not aware of any films older than 10 years, he was Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars. Star Wars!

Although Cushing doesn't provide the voice, his likeness is used for a CG version of Moff Tarkin in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, underscoring Cushing's villain status in the Star Wars films.

Unless Bloodsuckers has unique footage from the Something Weird video, then the 'extended' version is already out in France. The subtitles on SECEURS DE SANG are also fully removable. The SWV dvd has a few seconds of forcible breast exposure missing from all the video & dvd releases I've seen to date.

I found it odd (and rather disappointing) that they would go to so much trouble to get his face right -- and they did! -- but then fail by not even trying to match the voice.

***ANNOUNCEMENT***

"Coming soon on 4K from severin films: Cemetery Man (1994)! According to Severin Films at their Super Shock Pop-Up event, they were able to wrestle away the rights, but they are still working on the restoration

They also played trailers for Closed Circuit, The Spider Labyrinth (1988), The Devils Exorcist (1975), Count Dracula (1970), and Exorcismo (2023) - a new Severin documentary on 70s Spanish horror.

They teased a release of Stir (1980) and revealed that Challenge Of The Tiger (1980) is a part of the Many Clones Of Bruce box set."

One of the things I'm looking for in this is the 2k transfer, because I have Cushing's costume from this and I want to screen-match it.

I thought it was a bit odd because Peter Cushing didn't have a costume in Rogue One because he died over 20 years before it was released!

It's still pretty cool to have an authentic piece of film memorabilia, a costume worn by Peter Cushing.
