I've said it before now too these people have jobs and have qualifications, mind it's probably more to do with the studios.

Save your self money and use the original artwork, of course I don't know if that could be more expensive than getting new artwork

You'd think it would be cheaper for the studios just to reprint a cinema poster for the covers rather than employing then training a chimp to use crayons.

I think that a lot of these original artworks have to be licenced from the artist and it's probably cheaper to pay for a new creation. The previous SC artwork for The Howling wasn't much cop either.

That doesn't explain why originals can be used on the reverse of sleeves though.
